Against the Stones (Psalm 137:8-9)

While these stories have metaphorical and theological implications, it is their practical impact that strikes me. They are less about spiritual maneuvers and more about physical ones. Bodies collide; fluids spew. The blood, sweat, and tears of real human life speak out of the myth. We can viscerally imagine the sight of infants being smashed on rocks in Psalm 137.
